HIDE  Electronic  Remixes  and  Tribute Albums

  May 22nd 1996 was an important mile stone in HIDE's career, it is the date when the brand shaped over his personal concept was lunched on the market.
Yes, you've guessed , we're talking about LEMONed . HIDE's brand was created to meet fan's demands, it is more than a fashion line, it also consisted in various goods and memorabilia baring HIDE's unique signature. As first released was celebrated with the first compilation album that HIDE made in collaboration with his new band , as usual the whole concept idea for the brand line and also for the album belongs indisputable to HIDE . The new album as the brand line were named "LEMONed" as in a game of words.
(“ LEMONed Ice Cream”...hmmm...I used to love lemon ice cream...tough I haven't taste it for centuries, I feel like trying it again, how about you ? ) . Anyway here is the track chart for LEMONed , the Remix album.

On June 21st 1997 is the turn of the "PSYENCE" album to be transformed into a remix, the 2nd one HIDE brought up in the market for fans tough he change the name into “Tune Up “ Hide remixes. The song list of this album is :

Released May 1st 1999 as a tribute album that has
been announced to commemorate the 1st year anniversary, HIDE Tribute Spirits is a collective album, the result of a various artists working together in HIDE's memory. Again with the help of INA, a track print of HIDE's voice was synthesised with a MAC program and with PATA's help a new album for HIDE's fans was configured .

On May 1999 At the time with the album release it was
presented to the public a booklet as bonus, the booklet was a sticker holder designed to host stickers as the ones set on display on Hide's Museum. It was offered as special bonus to those of almost 10 000 people who had visited HIDE's LEMONed shop and HIDE Museum, 1750 of musical sheets were also gifted to HIDE's fans at the commemoration.
 PSY CLONE was released to the market on May 22nd 2002.This album covers a new musical range,
even for the extravagance of HIDE, Trance and Techno and House remix music is a whole new concept, tough it turned out to be pretty good. I invite you to check it out by yourself . The songs featured are :

The album was offered for sale along with a sticker featuring same image as the album cover.
February 1988 is the release year for the album “Clash” on
which HIDE collaborate with COLOR in creating an very interesting musical background ( HIDE was live participating as one of the choir members ).
Shake Hand was an album where HIDE turns back to work with his friends and ex band mates of former X Japan . It was released on May 25th 1990, another L of · O · X album."Shake Hand" was his friends tribute for HIDE's work and career and has been credited as "JACK POT HIDE". His friends contribution was a real success. Among the featured tracks you will find : "red hair of young nobleman” by “ PATA", TAIJI, has been credited to the Special Thanks as "Great Fuckin'TAIJI".

And in addition to these, TOSHI was participating as Guest Singer in a song called "Tragedy of M", where music and lyrics are created specially for this occasion.
YOSHIKI, as always was in charge of the Drums, using an alias of "REI".
OVERDOING was released on October 1st 1992 . Tokyo YANKEES is the band who released this
“cover” after HIDE's work as special thanx for the time when HIDE participated as contributor member for their album GASOLINE. DANCE2NOISE004
was another album where HIDE had his contribution with a song named “DRUGSTORE COWBOY”, PATA had also put his print on the album with his work “ GUET GUITAR”.
FROZEN BUG was released on January 21st 1993, it was considered the OMNIBUS album of HIDE . The album is the fruit of partnership between J and INORAN of LUNA SEA, once with "FROZEN BUG" of M × A × S × S has been recorded as well.  


FLOWERS

was an album released on Sept 21st in 1994 by a band which had DER ZIBET as vocalist, he had collaborate before with HIDE for the making off of his solo album ISSAY album. "FLOWERS" is the album where HIDE have participated as the main guitar in the "Max's beloved".

96/69 a new album released on June 9th 1996. Also known as “Cornelius Remix Album”
is another work of contribution from HIDE who did loved to give an fresh boos out to young and talented people, let's not forget that he was as well the mastermind behind the “HEAVY METAL THUNDER” project. The reason why I'm sharing all of these with you, is that I wish some people out there would grow us and stop winging that HIDE left us just few albums...and that's it...as you will forward read, he let us quite an considerable heritage regardless his fallen star existence among us.

October 22nd 1997,  
Shonen Knife of the remix albums also known as "Ultra Mix" was also released on the market for sale. For this Ultra Mix was used HIDE's work for the remix of "TOWER OF THE SUN". You should try it, I bet you'd love it !
EVER FREE HIDE COLLECTION was released in 1999. Unlike others of
HIDE's creations this one is an instrumental CD of songs, it contains his best creations such as Rocket Dive, Pink Spider, Good Bye and many others .Music Box Ppoku is responsible with the musical arrangements of these works, but the details related the album or its release are unknown because it is a non-official merchandise.

HIDE WORKS It is a music box arrangements CD of HIDE's works , it was released somewhere in the 2000s ,that album has been sold in the music box hall. It is more like a
gentle sound of music than the rebellious remix sound we were used so far to listen from HIDE, tough is a welcome change the sound of music box it fits well with HIDE's musical personality.

November 22nd 2006 is the time to...RIZE . The album comes with an re-edited cover piece of Pink Spider released on an earlier date. The CD's case was also meant to reproduce the original atmosphere.

December 7th 2011 a REPLY -Tribute To HIDE- by DEFSPIRAL was released.This tribute album was produced of DIE and INA with the participation of SPREAD BEAVER as special invited guest , it is another tribute album to celebrate HIDE's work and activity.

It is here how Pink Spider, has become a full version track that contains the PINK CLOUD ASSEMBLY as a sequel for an theatrical project released later on.


"JET SPARK," was created by HIDE while he was composing for “Hodgepodge” it consists of the same melodic structure as thought by HIDE and was kept intact as in its natural composition state left by him.
Interlarding a natural sound of acoustic guitar was wrote for by its creator (HIDE) the melodic line hold an exquisite technical code.It looks better than any other works featuring HIDE , reminding of his bold personality and his bright compositions, it adds something of “original flavour” of HIDE's old works making it an reference album for the “TRIBUTE” series . Don't believe me...just listen! 


"STARDUST STORY" is the song that HIDE composed while talking with Dzusami himself which he meet many times. At first he thought about "I wonder what is the true knowledge in music". (From "Endless bonds") than he reached to this format which it turned out to be pretty good. In 1999, in sports newspaper and weekly magazines, on television programs, this song was advertised more and more till it become the next hit, but as written in Kuma's book I guess you all know the answer why it took 10 years until the song was actually released .
"Tv shows had been debated this subject as well" we are told " the weekly magazine and sports newspaper, were debating this topic once in a while, so this was an advert type too”
But, the more fuss it provoked this in the world, the decision to release it, came out stubbornly hard. People started to blame HIDE's family for trying to make a fortune by using his memory, work and image.
During such mascaraed shows the person behind this ( HIDE's brother) was pointed with finger as the one who had the most gain in all of these. After being put in a corner for promoting so much HIDE tough past away from nearly 18 years HIDE's brother tried to explain that all he did was for us the fans...that he tried to keep alive his memory in our hearts, even tough for his family was painful enough. He would have keep HIDE alive for the generations of fans who'll come afterwords .


For KUMA's, this song it was really important song precisely because it was created of the one whom he considdered as his teacher and mentor ( HIDE), so in order to complete the two songs he gave his best shot in the highest form, he even encloses in his book a series of events involving HIDE to indulge fan's thirst of knowledge regarded of such of great artist.


All right is getting on my “NERVEZ”
(LOL, I'm only JOKING!!) On Dec. 13th 2009 another Tribute Album, NERVEZ is released for sale. HIDE's work involves again Inoue (KUMA) in what he calls with affection ''Hideki's Book'' as if still connected with HIDE by ''unbroken/not-ended ties''. The book contains an CD format including the 2 songs on which HIDE was working prior to his death at Lake Yamanka . Enjoy reading, you might fall in love of it :) !



July 3rd 2013 is the date of the promised release of the 2nd HIDE Tribute Spirits album. Containing among others HIDE's 20th solo Anniversary & Anniversary project celebrating its 50th anniversary! Similar with the album released in 1999 this 2nd recorded release had first reached the sell point of million-copies ( that's the best sold album of HIDE in years) "HIDE TRIBUTE SPIRITS" followed by another tribute album (the 3rd) , breached into the visual system because the trend created by HIDE become a subculture that represents Japan musical work by the “Visual Kei” artists.

A 3rd Tribute album was released at same date mentioned above , this album as well created a new “young” air around HIDE's work, it was as well excellent received by the public grace to the young bands performing the tracks and what
was originally HIDE's work
was re-shaped to fit a brand new world...I'm glad, that's means an infinite no of possibilities for HIDE's work to last over the ages of time. ( perhaps you don't believe me but I cry my eyes out writing this post, HIDE deserves more and I can humbly wish that I could provide you with at list bits of informations about him)

I personally love this tribute works by Visual Kei young artists performed in respect to HIDE's memory. They deserve full credit for offering us performances in their own stile without compromising tough the atmosphere of the original song structure in the respect with the arrangements and HIDE's work spirit, is an album in which can be re-recognized the universality that goes beyond the music of an era or HIDE's generation. I do not honestly say you know the band but (sweat) was also there can enjoy the song of quite arrangements drastic seems young.
hide is a tribute album to feel a new breath of SPIRITS.


July 17th 2013 Pink Spider / Yoshiyuki Osawa with DIE was a more recent Tribute Album on
 sale.
Osawa is a member of Yoshiyuki  band and he once workes with HIDE while with Spread Beaver, the collaboration for Pink Spider was a smooth thing also thank to a beautiful cover by the DIE, which has been responsible for the keyboard reproducing the solo original as was designed by HIDE. DIE came in this project as a support member.
We also feel firmly expressed the individuality as artists of Yoshiyuki Osawa , whom without breaking the bossa nova-style arrangements of his own creation it delightful combines them with HIDE's view of the world, it is indeed spectacular! It actually become something new...unexpected matching...
It had become "the song" apart from the original version of the Pink Spider that has been covered by various artists until now.
Sometimes DIE and Chirolyn as well ( activating in now in "Yellow Fried Chickinz" and former band mate of HIDE while with Spread Beaver) has been also participating in the new remixes production, and within their work they not only tried to bring HIDE's music to a new competing level but it has also become a cover album in which was also included firm the original musical world of HIDE.

I'm here bringing HIDE's work back for you, because...some people could be blamed , hated or loved for almost anything...but never forgotten!...come what may! I know I'm not the only one missing him, that's the main reason I relocated my blog here to be closer than you, so you wouldn't feel "alone" anymore. WE ARE X, but HIDE is family too, it can'not be in another way than to at list respect his memory.
