summarizes HIDE's solo musical activities also a large number of
interviews, it was conceived as an “encyclopedia” related to
HIDE and was sold as first press bonus meant to reward the huge
number of demanding fans.
HIDE GIGS , Special Edition Music Mook
Issued
March 23rd 1999 by Shinko Music Co. Ltd ,this book is documenting the
TRIBAL Ja, Zoo TOUR backstage footages and “making off” behind
scenes and few hide interviews with members of Spread Beaver, also
including a open talk about the new project of HIDE with Zilch, which
has been formed by HIDE, Paul and Ray as we have been told in another
article form the same magazine. Besides the guitar commentary in the
introduction, a special Phantom card and birth secret story was
introduced to the fans as HIDE's favourite. Few new album release
commentary is also made by HIDE along with other informations
generously offered in a format of old interviews (which were first
published in Tebyu letter magazine and GIGS), all being offered in a
substantial content. Is a colourful book full with lots of pictures
in the purest HIDE style :) . I will make scan of the content and
upload it later in another separate post.
HIDE "IT's Bedrock"

it depicts an
extraordinary journey of
"how X JAPAN
wanted to meet HIDE "
as well with “ a fan's story”.....in
December 31st 1995, the dream of a girl fighting an incurable
disease, an illness of which was at that time only the 10th
case reported in the world...a dream that big and strong it couldn't
be ignored...it becomes reality. The whole story of this book is
wrapped in the moment of encounter, grace to HIDE's kindness that
girl's dream became true.
A warm relationship between the girl who
yearns for him and HIDE started like that, he kept encouraging her
from that day as a brother and stood by her trying to understand her
needs, than after May 2nd 1998, once with the sudden death of HIDE
that wonderful story ended but the dream never faded. Get over the
sadness! “ I will keep HIDE alive trough my words” that's what
she said, that is what she was always fighting to believe...in the
future...even if that future sadly couldn't include anything more
than HIDE's memory.
Lots of e-mails and private photos were shared
between the two of them as their friendship grew into a lovely story
which was base of an emotional documentary of HIDE's personality and
true self. That touched forever all our hearts, maybe this is the
secret which attracts even now days the youth toward reading this
book
.Famous among fans,
this is a book which portraits the emotional side of HIDE and Mayuko
Takashi. The Classic "MISERY" ( which was written for her)
is why Mayuko Takashi became unfortunately famous...
I say
unfortunately because the hate and wrath of fans after HIDE's death
had often target her in a totally unjustified way. (may God rest her
soul along HIDE, as she past away few years ago too, on Sept the 30th
2009 on age of 28 years old if I recall correctly) “MISERY” is a
song with the motif of Mayuko's illness, it was another gift of HIDE
for her, the one she was closest to him, more than anyone else.
Hideto Matsumoto was more than an artist, in this book is depicted
more as...a human being.
HIDE DREAM AND FREEDOM
Is another publication
referring to HIDE's life projects and great aspirations .
Issued in
1999 by Fusosha Publishing, Inc, it content the April 10th,
17th, 24th May 2998 “ON AIR” the radio broadcasting program book
series talk show of "All Night Nippon R of hide," featuring
comments of HIDE and guests on this particular book's subject.
Unfortunately being a foreign European fan, I had never got a chance
to listen that live broadcast so this book it gives me another chance
to touch a bit of a feeling from that days when HIDE was still
smiling gentle to us from the stage of life.
I was really thankful
having this book, I hope one day will find the registered voice of
HIDE as well , the live radio broadcast will be a most wanted
completion to my collection.
In the past the live recording of the
radio shows were aired at HIDE's MUSEUM which was tore apart piece by
piece in 2005 , 2 years after the original tearing down as I will
show you step by step in images in an up-coming post .
HIDE's HIDEO KANNO
was a book issued in December 25th 1999 ( was released to public only trough special mail order being a very rare limited collectible issue) , another HIDE Limited Edition by Headwax Org.Co .Ltd , this publication presents us the 10 000 cuts is featuring HIDE special "Xmas Edition" 10 sheets of HIDE speciall cards are loaded in this album which came along with a special
T-shirt and a B5 size Mr Kanno album , another present coming with this package is a special "Xmas" card of few different kinds encoded with 300 FC points .

On January 31st 2000 a
"Normal Edition" was released to the market without the original privileges. It was sold out along with other magazines in the General Stores.

has been published in the magazine "Let 's to do a BAND"
years ago , it is meant to be other re-posting of LIVE REPORT,by
Hiroshi Matsumoto the younger brother which was also HIDE's manager.
It is also presenting a short interview of KYO , TETSU (which were
the original members of Saber Tiger , HIDE's band before joining X
Japan) , PATA and I.N.A . It is more like a questionnaire to
interview around 80 people and officials, a commentary of the guitar
or equipment that was used in by HIDE, guitar chords and lyrics of
all solo music career which has been published till that point.(On
August 25th 2005, have been also released revised version as "hide
DAYS new edition".)
HIDE KYOUDAI/Kodansha ( Brother Reminiscence )

The present book is
written by Hiroshi Matsumoto, Hide's younger brother and Concerts
Manager , it contains encounters and memories of HIDE and his
brother's childhood, the teenager years also the beginning of the
musical career. A day-by-day chronicle written and described episode
by episode by HIDE's brother.
Is a book which aims to bring HIDE's
fans and public closer to the true nature and spirit of the Rock
Superstar. As an welcomed addition to this, on April 15th 2010,
another book was re-released in paperback ( Kodansha ) .
The beginning of a
book, has been greatly changed here and there , few Categories of new
episodes of reunion such photos several points and X JAPAN are
included in the childhood stories of the two brothers.
HIDE's BIBLE

2008 by Ongakusenkasha, HIDE's Bible is a “follow code”
for each of HIDE's fans, the BIBLE is wrote by Akemi Oshima , he
spend long time trying to understand HIDE's musical nature,
his
lyrical compositions and natural born talent by contrasting the
deep relationship between HIDE the artist and HIDE the man , beyond
all stories and facts. In addition to what Mr Akemi Oshima stated in
that book, a questionnaire for which a large number of people such as
musicians and showbiz men, gave their opinion on what we call
"hide Respect
Comments", from all this comets and memories, a "hide
Dictionary" was born. It was containing famous phrases/words or
expression regarding something, HIDE used in his daily talk.
Along
with these , there was presented a "hide photo album" of 32
pages, in colour plus a precious ARENA37 article which was also
summarized like a "hide reprinted interview", such as a
summary of HIDE's life "mini-history", that was an
definitive edition packed along with a spectacular gift .After the
March 2008th X JAPAN reunion LIVE, for the first time was talked
about the X JAPAN members of the 10th year since HIDE had departed
from us, the feelings of YOSHIKI, TOSHI, PATA, and HEATH it is a
must-read story regarding HIDE . As a HIDE fan, I love the people all
around the world to know about HIDE's legacy, is one book that comes
through depicting HIDE's lovely personality.

This is a music
magazine in which were reprinted the past of articles published in
Rockin f and WeROCK,. Among other features it has been published also
many nostalgic photos from the indie era.
HIDE's Guitar and the
touring used equipment is also presented along with HIDE's own
commentary regarding his upcoming work and his discography in the
